Description:
We are looking for a Controls Engineer! Pay: $135,000-150,000 annually

Our Client team draws on in-house expertise in engineering & design, precision machining, large part forming, welding, heat age, finishing, assembly, ablative & insulative composites, and other capabilities to serve as a strategic partner to customers. Our Client is headquartered in greater Los Angeles and currently has 5 locations in Southern California and 1 location in Mukilteo, Washington.
SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our team. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our industrial machinery and equipment. Your focus will be on mechanical systems programming and development, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with NC code generation or CNC machine operations
- Familiarity with metallic material mechanics and material forming processes.
- Basic understanding of standoff thermal measurement techniques including Infrared cameras.
- Experience with NC code generation and CAD/CAM programs
- Experience with CNC machine operations
- Experience in mechanical systems programming, PLC programming, and HMI development.
- Experience with metallic materials mechanics and material forming processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of standoff thermal measurement techniques including infrared imaging.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Control Systems:
- Generate toolpaths and manufacturing flows for new parts and products to comply with customer requirements.
- Use machine feedback and finished part inspection data to influence process development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create control systems for industrial machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Use of machine feedback and finished part inspections to influence machine processes.
- Generate toolpaths and manufacturing flow for new parts/products.
- Installation and Troubleshooting:
- Coordinate with engineers and technicians to ensure proper installation and functionality of control systems.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of control systems and components.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Prioritize safety in all control system designs and implementations.
- Adhere to the highest standards of safety in accordance with company policies.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and instruction to organization members regarding control systems.
