Description:

Reporting to the Controller and working alongside the client accounting and accounts payable teams, the Corporate Senior Accountant is a highly visible role that will support both full cycle accounting and reporting as well as ad-hoc projects and analysis. This role will support Oasis Marinas in enhancing the financial reporting process by reducing the number of days in the month end close cycle and assisting with enhancement of the existing reporting package(s). A successful Corporate Senior Accountant will be a strong problem-solver, adaptable in an environment that is growing and changing, a natural relationship builder, and have a self-starter mentality.

  • Assist with the corporate month end close process including month end journal entries, allocations, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of other supporting schedules.
  • Support the external financial statement audit process by interfacing directly with audit team, managing PBC request list, and assisting with preparation of audited financials.
  • Support the annual tax provision and tax return process by providing supporting documentation and schedules to external tax firm.
  • Maintain working knowledge of legal entity structure and manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
  • Assist with preparing standard monthly and quarterly financial packages with ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
  • Assist with drafting SOPs, accounting policies, and technical accounting memos.
  • Assist with taxes and compliance, including sales & use, personal property tax, and business license renewals.
  • Assist with adoption of new accounting standards including research, application, and documentation of all new accounting pronouncements.
  • Assist with ERP implementation and future enhancements.
  • Assist with internal audit process including planning and execution.
