Responsibilities:

As the only licensed casino gaming operation in Western Australia, Crown Perth is highly regulated under the Casino (Burswood Island) Agreement Act 1985, the Casino Control Act 1984 and the Gaming and Wagering Commission Act 1987, and is committed to the highest levels of probity and compliance.
A rare opportunity has arisen for a proactive and strategically motivated person to join our Legal Services Department in the position of Senior Corporate Lawyer on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will contribute to the development of corporate initiatives and undertake transactional and advisory work in areas including corporate, contractual, Government regulation, property, trade practices, insurance, privacy, intellectual property law and general business and operational issues.

In this role, you’ll play a significant role in:

  • Legislative and regulatory requirements across the various departments in the business
  • Research, analysis, proposals and submissions on business development initiatives
  • Legal and gaming compliance, particularly the co-ordination, supervision and support of the organisation’s legal compliance programs, training, auditing and reporting
  • Being the organisation’s Principal Privacy Officer; and
  • Development and evaluation of operational policies and procedures across the organisation
