Responsibilities:

The senior credit risk analyst supports Uniper’s growth ambitions from a Credit Risk perspective. The role involves conducting credit analysis, reviewing contracts, negotiating terms, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. The analyst will advise senior management on material investment decisions by modelling structured credit risk solutions and evaluating credit risks of new and existing business. The analyst will report to the Head of Project and Finance Credit Risks.

  • Structuring credit solutions and negotiating international transaction structures of bespoke contracts involving multiple counterparts (e.g. Joint Ventures, Special Purpose Vehicles) in coordination with internal stakeholders within Uniper
  • Perform credit risk assessment (incl. financial modelling) and management of existing and potential counterparties, using quantitative and qualitative methods for non-standard investment decision of e.g. asset projects in clean dispatchable or conventional power (asset-based projects), project-financed investments etc.
  • Monitor and report on the credit risk exposure using various tools and metrics. Review and approve credit limits and terms, in accordance with the company’s credit risk policy and guidelines
  • Identify and escalate any credit risk issues or concerns and propose and implement appropriate actions and solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as originators, project managers, finance, legal, and external counterparties
  • Monitoring and maintenance of credit limits, collateral documents, and related data in credit risk systems
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior credit risk analysts and assist them with complex or challenging cases
  • Keep abreast of market developments and credit trends
