Responsibilities:

YOUR KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Lead/assist the CT team, specifically in the provision of providing a high-quality CT service.
  • Contribute to protocol development with continued process review in conjunction with our CT Service Lead.
  • High levels of communication and relationship management with local referrers and patients.
  • Perform a wide range of CT Imaging procedures and apply professional knowledge in selecting and adapting methods best suited with a high level of independence.
  • Provide technical advice to both radiologist and technical staff to ensure an effective outcome for the patient.
  • Responsibility for internal CT training as required.
  • Fully participate in the CT, CT On-call roster and PET CT with the ability to work in x-ray as required.

TO BE SUCCESSFULLY APPOINTED TO THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Knowledge of relevant CT medical imaging techniques.
  • Knowledge of current trends in quality assurance protocols.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice CT Imaging.
  • An understanding of the requirements of clinical and professional clients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the responsibilities of a CT Technologist in the safe delivery imaging procedures.
  • An appreciation of medico-legal responsibilities in the delivery of Imaging Services.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and a current annual practicing certificate.
