We are looking for a confident and motivated Senior Customs Analyst to join our Customs team. This team is mainly responsible for maintaining the corporate customs compliance effort and HMRC legal obligations required to account for goods entering the UK.
The role does not only require experience in import data analysis but also operational customs compliance knowledge. You’ll be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of the customs compliance high standards, building internal compliance documentation, and providing support on trade consultancy projects.

What you’ll do

  • Conducting ongoing internal Trade Compliance Monthly Post-Entry audits and implementing any necessary corrective actions.
  • Preparing reports for internal and external stake using business analytics reporting tools
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Customs brokers and drive continuous improvement actions plans.
  • Monitoring Customs brokers compliance
  • Actively participate in Foreign Trade Data/cross-border projects, and system initiatives.
  • Supporting Customs Compliance audits with HMRC
  • Working closely and collaborating with Tax Department on customs related reporting.

What you’ll need

  • Experience working with customs import data and post-clearance audits.
  • Working knowledge of the UK/EU customs legislation, and Excise knowledge desirable for this role.
  • Level 3+ Certificate in Customs Compliance, or other applicable customs and trade certifications and diploma, desirable.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, and skilled in auditing large import data sets.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to use their own initiative
  • Highly focused and accurate with an uncompromising eye for detail
  • Hands-on approach and can-do attitude
  • Ability to accommodate last minute requests with ease and efficiency
  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages
