THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst at [Your IT Consulting Company Name], you will play a crucial role in designing and developing data warehousing solutions, collaborating with other Corporate & Performance teams, and developing ETL and Business Intelligence solutions. You will work closely with clients in diverse industries to conduct database analysis, provide technical data management advice, and develop data strategies to support their business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in working for a similar organisation in IT Consulting, with expsoure to a number of industry sectors, which could include any of the following: Banking, Utilities, Energy, Higher Education, Health, or Government.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing data warehousing solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in ETL tools and techniques, such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Solid understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data modeling concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Experience working in the consulting industry and collaborating with clients in diverse industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data warehousing solutions to meet client requirements and support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other Corporate & Performance teams, including People, Finance, and ICT, to ensure alignment of data initiatives with overall business strategy.
  • Develop and implement Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and Business Intelligence solutions to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct database analysis and design services to optimize data structures and improve data quality.
  • Provide assistance and advice on technical data management issues, including data governance, data security, and data integration.
  • Collaborate within the team to develop strategies for addressing client challenges and achieving project goals.
  • Manage the development and publishing of data standards to ensure consistency and compliance across all data-related activities.
