The GCOE Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leveraging expertise in our systems and processes, collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, and meeting new data reporting and analysis needs. By developing new models to solve business problems, and researching new tools to enhance business enablement, you will help the commercial teams establish a ’one source of truth’ for our data.
This position is part of the Global Commercial Operations & Enablement (GCOE) Team and will be located in Concord, Canada with hybrid work arrangement. The GCOE team provides our SCIEX business partners with real-time data access, enabling them to make confident, data-driven business decisions.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Technology, Business, or similar discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience developing business analytics solutions with Power BI, utilizing complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) calculations and measures.
  • Experience utilizing Python libraries like Pandas for advanced data manipulation, including version control using GitHub.
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills, along with the agility to work in a global corporate environment, providing a high degree of customer service.
  • Strong financial analysis and diagnostic skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO POSSESS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Oracle (or other ERP system) and Salesforce.
  • Azure Data Studio for basic SQL querying.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Services analytics function for the GCOE team, acting as a key liaison with service management, analysts, and technical resources on Service data projects.
  • Develop robust data models and create insightful Power BI reports using Microsoft’s suite of data analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with analysts and developers to create new data models and advanced reporting tools.
  • Oversee data collection, preprocessing, and analysis of SCIEX data, building models to address specific business challenges.
  • Employ advanced data visualization techniques to effectively communicate insights, enhancing efficiency and ensuring reliable reporting.
