SAP Concur provides an interactive experience to millions of users daily. Understanding and improving on this experience is core to our success. SAP Concur’s Spend Analytics group is expanding our product analytics team with the addition of this new Senior Data Analyst role. This role is embedded in SAP’s Enterprise Analytics organization, and will be working closely with Product Management and Engineering to deliver insights that directly contribute to the enhancement and development of SAP Concur’s world class Spend Management suite of products.
In this role as a Senior-level data and analysis expert, you will directly contribute to the success of SAP Concur Products by leading analyses and providing business insights to support data-driven decision making. By partnering with stakeholders across the organization, you will work with multiple product teams globally to help them meet their business objectives by assessing the success of our existing products, identifying areas for improvement, and measuring the viability of product launches.
You will report to the Head of Product Analytics and be part of a diverse and engaged team that is helping drive major innovations in an industry that is becoming increasingly more complex.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics).
  • Proven track record (5+ years) leading successful product and user experience analytics projects that help drive business and product decisions in a fast paced and complex environment.
  • Excellent data analytics skills, using Redshift, SQL, and Adobe Analytics. Python is a plus.
  • Excellent reporting and data visualization skills, using Tableau, Quicksight, and Excel.
  • Experience with advanced analytics techniques such as statistical significance, regression, and classification. Familiarity with basic concepts of AI.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively deliver complex analyses to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Industry experience in spend management. Travel is a plus.
  • Positive attitude and a team player with a “roll up your sleeves” mindset.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Drive and deliver end-to-end analytics solutions from ensuring good data capture, appropriate metric methodologies, information visualization/presentation and data synthesis and insights.
  • Bring ownership and data analytics expertise to the teams you partner with.
  • Cross collaborate throughout the organization to connect dots and interact with various teams.
  • Identify where patterns that support one product team can be easily adapted to other teams to help scale analytics and democratize access to information.
  • Promote self-service analytics by providing stakeholders solutions they can adapt for their evolving data needs.
  • Contribute to the reliability and consistency of the product data platform by exercising awareness of data quality, communicating issues swiftly toward resolution, and executing good query/reporting practices.

HOW YOU’LL DO IT:

  • Be self-driven, working directly with Product Managers and Software Engineers to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions that help inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand the problems they’re trying to solve, and structure analyses to address their business needs. The successful candidate will have excellent business acumen and an ownership mindset.
  • Independently extract data out of Big Data technologies such as SQL Server & Redshift and produce impactful analyses with clear, actionable business insights.
  • Synthesize complex analyses and communicate succinctly with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Have a strong attention to detail and high standards when it comes to data quality.
  • Utilize your keen ability to discover, cleanse and merge data across disparate data sources, to ensure analysis of data is reliable and complete.
  • Demonstrate substantial experience with analytical tools and techniques, bringing a solid skill-set in analyzing data and communicating recommendations.
