Description:

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will join a team to enhance our business through advanced analytics and data-led decisioning. This will enable us to understand what improvements we need to make to our experiences by using data and insight to enable member experiences, operational effectiveness and help deliver overall growth and profitability ambitions.
This position will be a 12-month max term position.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting in the development of advanced analytics capability, data literacy and data-led decisioning in a business Domain team in partnership with Analytics & Insights function
  • Ensuring RAC remains up to date with analytics advancements and introduce new techniques where they can add value
  • Contributing to the direction of analytics outcomes to support value creation within a business domain, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and implementable
  • Acting as an SME on analytics methodologies and solutions, providing input, advice and support across the business unit
  • Support the projects with data and analytics practices including:
  • Requirements gathering and elicitation to best adapt reporting to the needs of the project
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to uncover the correct data needed for the project
  • Methodology on building reporting and analytics
  • Help establish documentation and standards for as built reports in the project to ensure business continuity
  • Assisting in the development of reporting metrics based on existing datasets and request new datasets where required
  • Using visualization tools to analyse and present data in engaging ways

What are we looking for in you?

  • Advanced skills in SQL, Excel and Power BI reporting and visualization tools
  • Applied knowledge of statistical tools and techniques
  • Advanced analysis, problem solving and investigation skills
  • Demonstrated experience in using Business Intelligence software
  • A growth mindset – this is a new area for us so you need to be able to grow and adapt to business needs
  • Any experience in marketing or user experience will be highly regarded
