JOB DESCRIPTION:

Are you seasoned analytics professional with a passion for driving insights in the wealth and insurance industry? Join our dynamic Data & Analytics team at Sun Life within the CXO (Client Experience Office) to support our Wealth & Insurance business unit. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in extracting actionable insights from complex datasets, while enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing our understanding of client needs and behaviors, by developing actionable insights through advanced analytics and visualizations.

UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS?

  • The candidate selected for this role is required to attain Canadian Reliability Security Clearance (administered by submitting fingerprints to the RCMP, who then conduct min. 5 year history checks)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and opportunities for analysis within the Wealth & Insurance business unit.
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets from various sources, including customer transactions, financial records, 3rd party and market data.
  • Design and implement dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights through story telling effectively to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and data investigations to address business questions and uncover actionable insights.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, storytelling through visualization, data visualization tools, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
  • Mentor junior analysts and collaborate with team members to enhance analytical capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Document work processes, methodologies and deliverables using Confluence to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
