WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU BRING?

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline (Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics), along with relevant experience, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Enrollment in or possession of a recognized accounting designation (e.g. CPA) is an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with public sector organizations or transit agencies is an asset.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills to discover interconnectivities between various sources of data and observations; working knowledge in data manipulation, data analytics and business intelligence
  • Strong knowledge in Excel, Excel VBA, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in developing impactful, measurable, and relevant targets / benchmarks / outcomes to monitor and report on organizational progress towards corporate and/or business plans, priorities and objectives.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships both internally and externally, with staff at all levels.
  • Proven, excellent written and verbal communication skills, including delivering presentations with complex technical information to management team.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and demands in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage staff, including coaching, mentoring and providing business, financial and technical guidance to staff.
  • Demonstrated work experience with SAP is an asset.
  • Technical knowledge of database concepts, database management software and related computer applications including SQL queries, MicroStrategy and PowerBI is an asset.
  • Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees

Responsibilities:

As the Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for developing reports, identifying trends, providing statistical information and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of TTC vehicle kilometers and service hours. You will be responsible for maintaining and making continuous improvements and automation to the data capturing and reporting processes, as well as supervising and providing training to staff on the data capturing processes to ensure accurate and timely processing of data. In this role, you will also be responsible for supporting period-end and year-end activities for cash and legacy fare media, as well as supporting revenue ridership reporting, calculation and analytics initiatives.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.
