Responsibilities:
- Mapping and Impact Assessment: Collaborate with technology SMEs, product owners, control owners, and process owners to map business data flows for critical data elements. Assess the impact of changes on data quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Data Quality Oversight: Identify and maintain the population of Critical Data Elements relevant to our division. Evaluate key controls and identify gaps or deficiencies in data quality throughout the data journey. Work closely with 1st line Business Control and Monitoring teams to redesign and enhance data controls based on control recommendations.
- Technical Data Lineage: Perform detailed technical data lineage mapping to understand existing data quality rules. Collaborate with stakeholders to uplift data quality rules where necessary.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Develop real-time monitoring mechanisms for data quality rules. Ensure timely detection and resolution of data issues.
- Strategic Initiatives: Support data change projects and strategic initiatives. Maintain high-quality documentation for data lineage, controls, and monitoring.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate root causes of data problems. Work closely with business teams to identify credible pathways for resolving data issues.
