Job Description
As a Senior Data Architect, you will be a key player in our interdisciplinary data team, driving the creation of our patient-privacy-centered data ecosystem for data-driven healthcare. In creating our products, health data is a core resource. Your job will be to define and implement data policies and processes that optimize the capture and use of data across products from the Brainlab Companies. Working closely with our development teams, you will implement a comprehensive data strategy that ensures sustainable access to data for research leveraging our growing product offering and data ecosystem. Your role will be central in aligning data strategy with business objectives and collaborating with technical teams to implement data solutions efficiently, ensuring adherence to data governance and compliance standards.

In this position you will be

  • defining and implementing data policies and processes that optimize the use of data and maximize business value
  • developing a comprehensive data strategy (sustainable access to data for research and development; orchestrating the data ecosystem where appropriate)
  • working closely with management to ensure data strategy aligns with business objectives
  • working with technical teams to implement data solutions and ensure technical feasibility and efficiency
  • ensuring adherence to data governance and compliance standards
  • developing SOPs e.g. for de-identification of data
  • developing and implementing guidelines and procedures to comply with legal and regulatory requirements when handling data
  • monitoring data quality and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data
  • implementing data management practices to ensure effective data use and management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed training or studies in the field of data management, computer science, health informatics or comparable qualification
  • Practical experience and expertise in data management and data strategy
  • Sound knowledge of data analysis, data management and data governance
  • Experience with data analysis tools and technologies (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
  • Understanding of healthcare IT infrastructures and data architectures (e.g. FHIR, DICOM, OMOP, SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10/11)
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements in the healthcare sector
  • Experience in the development and implementation of data strategies and guidelines
