Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong foundation in data engineering and data modeling concepts
  • Experience in building Data Platforms, with Data Mesh principles and Lake Houses
  • Hands-on experience in ingestion pipeline development, ETL processes, data modeling, deployment, maintenance, and updates in production environments
  • Data-driven mindset and proficiency in various BI Tools like Looker, Tableau, PowerBI or ThoughtSpot
  • Experience working with cloud platforms , on-prem Data Warehouses and microservices
  • Familiarity with Lakehouse solutions like Databricks (Spark), Snowflake, and orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, or similar platforms
  • Well-versed in design patterns, system architectures, and industry best practices
  • Proficient in Python, SQL and Scala(or Java) and experienced in data ingestion from both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with data streaming or near real-time analytics

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working across cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to constantly learn to stay updated on industry trends
  • Ability to mentor junior and mid-level analysts on best practices surrounding analytical products

What challenges you will help us solve

  • Take a pivotal role within a cross-functional team to develop the organization’s data platform, spanning across regions and encompassing on-premises systems.
  • Contribute to designing and implementing the data landscape and architecture, emphasizing real-time and batch processing needs, as well as considerations for reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Design, implement, and fine-tune data models to efficiently process diverse datasets, thereby bolstering the analytical capabilities of the organization.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and spearhead initiatives aimed at improving data engineering processes. Monitor pipeline performance and pinpoint areas for optimization and efficiency enhancements.

Your responsibilities as Senior Data Engineer include

  • Working collaboratively within a cross-domain team to develop new data products and features for high-quality analytics within and outside the company.
  • Collaborate on the delivery, storage, and transformation of data to contribute to Codility’s data models while ensuring compliance with Data Laws.
  • Promote best practices for data modeling, with focus on Data Quality and usage in analytics across the organization.
  • Adopt a consulting and coaching mindset within and outside the team to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Establishing guides and coaching for utilizing dashboards and interfaces offered by the data engineering team.
