Responsibilities:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for building Oasis’ modern data infrastructure. You are one of the early data specialists on a growing team and will have wide leeway to build performant, observable and maintainable data pipelines, data stacks, plus the processes and frameworks around deploy, verification and governance.

As the Senior Data Engineer you will:

  • Design and implement end-to-end data architectures and analysis tools to meet the needs of our operations, product, growth, finance, and other partner teams.
  • Architect, develop, and deploy data warehousing/data lake solutions, pipelines.
  • Build the foundation to support data analytics and end-user BI and reporting.
  • Develop the tools, processes, and monitoring for data validation and verification to guarantee data quality and consistency.
  • Work closely with product engineering teams to onboard new data sources and coach product engineers on robust instrumentation and data principles.
  • Create and maintain documentation: data dictionaries, technical designs, coding standards, best practices and other documentation to support data architecture
  • Lead and advocate best practices for code development, testing, CI/CD in order to ensure data availability, data quality and data usability.
  • Translate product requirements and technical designs into well-engineered, low-defect, robust code
  • Develop data modelling processes and act as a domain expert for data models across all areas of the business.
