What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Data Governance, you will be a key member of the Enterprise Chief Data Office. As the Senior Consultant, Enterprise Data Governance, you will work with business partners and stakeholders from various Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Functional Groups (FGs), to understand their unique data environments and to support and enable their successful implementation of sustainable data governance and data management practice, in alignment with Data strategy and Target Operating Model (TOM). As a data governance expert, you will understand our Enterprise data governance framework and data governance best practices and use this knowledge to advise and enable businesses to define, develop, and maintain business processes for successful data governance and quality within their respective areas.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with SBU and FG partners throughout the enterprise including Capital Markets, Canadian Banking, Finance, Risk Management, Administration, Technology, and People, Culture, & Brand. You act as the main point of contact for business units, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction as well as support partners as they develop and deliver their data governance program by helping them understand enterprise standards and requirements. You also help partners adopt and implement enterprise tooling for metadata management, data quality, issue management, and data sharing and advise partners as they develop their own data governance processes and operations.
  • Data Governance Implementation - Develop, deliver, and implement data governance through policy, standards, and process. Develop, maintain, and report against implementation of data governance and data management roadmaps. Escalate and resolve stakeholder issues. Support central data governance project and program initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement - Align internal frameworks and processes to industry best practices.
  • Product Management - Help drive growth of internal tools through discovering, documenting, and prioritizing solution requirements and development backlogs.

Who You Are

  • You demonstrate experience in. Data Management and Data Governance (4-6 years). You are a data governance expert with experience implementing data governance framework along with a deep understanding of best practices and implementation challenges. It is an asset if you have an experience with Azure, MS Purview, Databricks, Collibra and Informatica.
  • You are a certified professional. Certification in DAMA is preferred.
