Responsibilities:
As a Classifications Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the consistency, quality, and timely delivery of classification data across various asset types by implementing technological improvements. You will use and build additional business intelligence to ensure we are meeting targets.
We’ll trust you to:
- Understand financial markets and client needs to drive classification product strategies
- Use technical skills to evaluate and apply sound statistical methods, programming and machine learning approaches to promote and measure data quality, generate insights, extract information, and build newsworthy content
- Analyze internal processes to find opportunities for improvement; devise and implement innovative solutions across datasets
- Maintain workflow configurations for critical functions such as worklist management and quality control
- Develop interconnected data models that enable analysis across datasets
- Collaborate extensively with internal partners (primarily Core Product, Financial Solutions, News, and Engineering) to propose, develop and implement market leading solutions for our clients
You’ll need to have:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with combined studies in Information Systems and Finance or related business and STEM fields
- 4+ years of programming and scripting in a production environment (Python, Javascript, etc)
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or QlikSense
- Experience working with BQL and BBDS
- Completion of a Data Automated Services course
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
- Openness to change and willingness to work through challenges
- Powerful collaboration skills to work across departments and with global teams
- Solid attention to detail and high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem solving skills
- Project management skills and ability to prioritize and adapt to tasks accordingly
- Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States and will not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
We’d love to see:
- Experience working with an Agile development methodology such as Scrum
- Experience implementing high volume, low-latency ETL pipelines
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Natural language Processing, Machine Learning

Salary Range: 110,000 - 170,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
