JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking an experienced Senior Data/NiFi System Engineer to spearhead the design, development, implementation, testing, security, and ongoing support of data transport and brokering solutions across multiple classified networks and between interconnected networks. As a seasoned Senior Data NiFi System Engineer, you will be entrusted with the critical task of conceiving, executing, and maintaining data integration solutions utilizing Apache NiFi. Your role will be pivotal in optimizing data flow, ensuring the secure and efficient transfer of information among diverse systems. We are seeking an ideal candidate with a robust background in data engineering, Apache NiFi, and associated technologies, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Accumulate a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or NiFi System Engineer. • Hold an IAT III Certification (CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH).
• Exhibit proficiency in managing both classified and unclassified networks. Demonstrate significant expertise with Linux platforms, NiFi, One-way diode technology (e.g., Apache, OWL), and Java programming.

• Conduct system administration tasks, including updates, patching, and compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for NiFi Linux VMs.
• Demonstrate proficiency with OWL cyber defense cards and perform testing on one-way diodes.
• Develop comprehensive documentation to facilitate cross-domain approval processes. Support Backup/Failover/Load Balancing initiatives for data brokering, enhancing overall system availability.
• Respond promptly to outages, implement corrective actions, and furnish outage reports. Contribute to the engineering, design, and implementation of novel or enhanced data transport and brokering capabilities.
