Description:
Cognizant is looking for a collaborative team of data scientists, data analysts, simulation specialists, and engineers to analyse the end-to-end value chain of our client’s assets. We’re seeking a Data Scientist (Computer Vision) for a full-time position in Perth, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
As a Data Scientist, you will be part of a global team identifying and delivering performance improvement projects through the application of cutting-edge analytics, operational and engineering expertise. You will join the Value Analytics team, working collaboratively alongside other value engineering specialists, simulation and data analytics professionals, and operations and business subject matter experts to address client’s biggest and most complex challenges.
In your first few weeks in this Data Scientist role, you can expect to:
- Identify business and performance improvement opportunities across the value chain
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the relevant business problems are properly defined
- Investigate complex problems using a structured problem-solving approach
- Write code and conduct analysis utilising a range of technologies and techniques
- Enable performance improvement by producing actionable insight from data.
To apply for this Data Scientist (Computer Vision) role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
- Building and using pipelines and automations in AWS; understanding the different AWS services and how to use them
- ML engineering and Ops; deploying and monitoring solutions, working with Docker and Docker compose, CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding basic to intermediate statistics; evaluating and analysing datasets, presenting results
- SQL and noSQL database usage experience; gathering data, building datasets to train and test models
- Understanding different architectures and use cases, common pitfalls and benefits of different methodologies
- Proven experience in building deep learning models for computer vision.
