Responsibilities:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree accompanied by 10-20 years of experience, or a PhD with 3-12 years of experience, is required, with a background in a related field like Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, Computer Science, or Clinical Informatics.
  • Expertise in data manipulation and analysis using R, Python, Java, or similar tools.
  • Experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and geospatial analytics.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, abstract reasoning abilities, and hands-on approach to converting complex theoretical ideas into executable code.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced data science methodologies, encompassing a thorough understanding of complex algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and scientific programming and computational analysis expertise.
  • Experience in bioinformatics is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data science strategies in various domains, including mental and behavioral health, genomics, and translational research.
  • Conduct complex data analysis using advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and big data analytics.
  • Adhere to best practices in data science, including meticulous validation, rigorous analysis, and comprehensive documentation of data and algorithms.
  • Engage in project management, data wrangling, and supervising junior staff and trainees.
  • Mentor junior data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with various teams, including clinical, research, and administrative staff, to deliver data-driven solutions.
