Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Data Scientist. Work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to bring Machine Learning and optimization-based solutions to market. This position requires a Master’s degree Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field (foreign equivalent accepted) and 1 year experience in Proffered position or similar role (e.g., Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Applied Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer). Work experience must also include at least 1 year of experience with the following: (1) machine learning modeling; (2) optimization (e.g., linear programming, vehicle routing); (3) statistical modeling (regression analysis, A/B testing, switchback experimentation); (4) software engineering experience (e.g., system design, unit testing) utilizing Python; and (5) cloud computing technologies (e.g., Docker or Kubernetes) and platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure). This position is fully remote and may telecommute from any location in the U.S. Company HQ in Birmingham, AL. Limited travel to company’s offices for work reasons may be needed. Various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. may be possible in the future.
