Job Description
Join our elite SWAT (Software Action Team) dedicated to ensuring the uninterrupted stability of our customer applications and infrastructure services. As a crucial part of our operations, SWAT engineers are the ultimate guardians of production stability, excelling as champions across all service levels. You will serve as the final line of support for both internal and external customers, ensuring their experience remains seamless and uninterrupted.
In this role, you will immerse yourself in the intricacies of our platform, gaining comprehensive knowledge from end to end, and providing invaluable support to our infrastructure.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE

• Become an SME in production triage, gain broad knowledge across ServiceNow’s application and codebase, work with all the groups within Engineering/Operations, and groups outside of Operations (e.g. Customer Support).
• Learn how to identify bugs and solve challenging performance issues quickly. SWAT provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow as a well-rounded problem and performance analyst.
• Develop automation tools to facilitate and scale day-to-day operations
  Qualifications
  The ideal candidate for this pivotal role is a database engineer equipped with a robust understanding of database technologies, adept at performance analysis, and possesses exceptional troubleshooting skills. We seek individuals with a relentless passion for dissecting and resolving issues within complex systems operating under dynamic, real-world loads.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU HAVE

• 8+ years of Database performance tuning on PostgreSQL and MariaDB
• 8+ years of experience supporting or testing large-scale web-based distributed applications
• Hands-on experience working on a SaaS, PaaS, or Cloud Infrastructure products/solutions (Azure in particular)
• Unix skills: power user or system administrator level knowledge and familiarity
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies
