Senior Database Software Engineer (Oracle/SQL, Luxembourg)

As part of the BI & Analytics department composed of smart & dedicated people like yourself who make an impact with both internal and client stakeholders, you will be involved in IT projects related to statistical data life cycle management, from our office in Bertrange or directly on client premises.

• Designing and implementing multi-dimensional database structures;
• Developing scripts and tools supporting the data production, including the validation of the data;
• Conducting corrective and evolutionary maintenance of the data production system;
• Creating and managing database instances and environments for development, testing, and production;
• Identifying and resolving performance issues;
• Delivering support and training.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB;
• Proficiency in SQL and database programming languages (e.g. PL/SQL);
• Knowledge of database design principles and data modeling;
• Capacity to work in autonomy;
• Communicative, rigorous and organized ;
• Fluent in English, French would be an asset;
• 5+ years university degree in Computer Science or equivalent; and at least 10 years of professional experience ; or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
