Senior Decontamination Supervisor - Grange University Hospital

Are you interested in developing your knowledge within the Decontamination Service and would like to lead a team?
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated supervisor to join our friendly team within the Endoscopy Unit based at the Grange University Hospital, Cwmbran.
The role will involve supporting the managers in the day to day operational requirement’s of the department, taking responsibility for the day to day supervision of your team. You will be responsible for ensuring the service meets our customer needs as well as your team having annual performance reviews and appropriate training.
The shift patterns are currently 06:00 - 14:00, 08:00 - 16:00 to include weekends
You will be required to communicate with all your colleagues and customers on a daily basis and this will include:
Supervision of all junior staff
To ensure all staff are working within their competency levels
To train staff on the correct cleaning process of new equipment and reusable medical devices
Informing managers of any operational issues outside your area of expertise and competency
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
