REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience in operational resiliency, business continuity, disaster recovery, or related risk assessment and remediation at a technology or financial services organization is a plus
  • Ability to hold teams accountable for their deliverables
  • Experience with drafting project plans across multiple stakeholders and producing final reports
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to learn emerging products
  • Experience with Azure and building a structure for cloud-based disaster recovery methodology is a plus
  • Azure DR certification skills a plus
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, SQL Managed Instance, MuleSoft, and Kafka preferred
  • Experience with SharePoint site maintenance and building collaboration desired
  • Service Now experience preferred, especially the BC-DR Module a plus
  • Ability to prioritize multiple high-priority workstreams
  • Experience in Agile Framework with familiarity with SAFe Principles, and story development/refinement/delivery a preference
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while still meeting deliverables
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or related work experience
  • Prefer Business Continuity Certification (CBCP, MBCP, BCCE, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in crisis management best practices

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate drills and tabletop exercises to ensure appropriate preparedness
  • Ensure organizational operational resiliency by verifying that technology teams can meet recovery time requirements through updated documentation and exercises
  • Work cross-functionally with leadership and teams to coordinate and lead disaster recovery exercises, identify, and prioritize remediation, and track completion
  • Understanding of cloud architecture (Azure) DR processes and technologies to build effective DR failover plans
  • Having technology exposure to understand the various stack layers in the cloud architecture (Azure) involving various technologies with respect to core infrastructure and middleware layers involving recovery strategies
  • Building and testing DR plans for Azure Cross region failover exercises
  • Implement our Technology Operational Resiliency framework to assist in identifying gaps that exist operationally (as the process flows horizontally)
  • Identify critical systems and operations that are crucial to the continued business operations in the event of a disaster
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans (data center/region failover) and metrics to ensure the security and integrity of technology systems and data while championing program improvement opportunities
  • Own process-based remediation items identified in exercises, collaborating with partner teams to design new processes and policies that close gaps
  • Experience in documenting processes and building a plan for evolving the process focused on information centralization/automation
  • Maintain compliance with all standards, regulations, and requirements
  • Create reports as needed for different levels of leadership, covering all aspects of operational resiliency
  • Ensure the execution and quality of enhancements, support, and projects
  • Manages and develops self while internalizing leadership feedback
  • Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across teams, departments, divisions, and vendors
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors while aligning with the firm’s objectives
