WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join our team on a full-time basis. This position is located out of our head office in Toronto, Ontario

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Relevant education OR equivalent work experience in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, and S&OP, and inventory management. Supply Chain experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning within Consumer Goods or a related industry
  • Experience with Forecast & Replenishment Applications
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Certifications such as IBF CPF, APICS preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Support the exponential sales growth by promoting product availability at the right time and the right point in the supply network
  • Champion the monthly consensus cycle with an objective of completing the rolling consensus forecast for Key Accounts of responsibility. Collaborate with the other Demand Planner to consolidate the data within their Markets of responsibility. S/he will look at POS & shipment trends, seasonality, future promotion plan, expansion, new product launch, cannibalization, and delists
  • Develop item-customer level or item-market level forecast using historical data, shipment patterns, and intelligence from Customer, Partnership, and Marketing
  • Use history cleansing & standard statistical modelling techniques to generate the baseline statistical forecast
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of all components of the building block including: Baseline, Promotion uplifts, Sales & Marketing intelligence, New product introductions, Market trends, and Growth target
  • Perform ongoing analysis and monitoring of customer pacing to forecast and customer sell-through, identify significant variances and take corrective actions
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and present them to senior management with recommendations and alternatives
  • Provide analysis of KPI results (Forecast Accuracy and Attainment), with action plans for improvement
  • Facilitate the monthly consensus meeting with the Partnership Team and weekly cross-functional, task review meetings with Customer Experience, Replenishment, and Partnership for addressing and resolving business issues
  • Participate in monthly Financial estimate process to understand building blocks, challenge assumptions, and be equipped to bridge the Financial estimate with the Demand Plan
