About the role
Daikin Australia is excited to have an opportunity to onboard a Senior Design Engineer in our R&D team. This role will perform air conditioner design & verification work from concept generation to production release.
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be reporting to our Research & Technology Manager in applying engineering knowledge and experience to designing and developing air conditioner systems to support why Daikin Australia strives to lead innovation from the front & contribute to society with world-leading technologies.
This role will additionally have responsibilities to lead & train junior team members to lead in internal/external technical seminars, development and maintain technical specifications and actively participate in product value engineering.
About you
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related education to Air Conditioning
- Previous hands-on experience in the Air Conditioning Industry
- Good understanding of air conditioning components designs and selection
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of bill-of-material and cost structure of products
- Full working rights in Australia
