An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join a smart energy solutions provider & manufacturer. This role offers the chance to work on innovative projects, designing electrical components that make a real difference. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to utilise their skills in AutoCAD, Eplan, and Etap, while also contributing to cost reduction projects and product standardisation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating customer specifications and bid documents, defining design parameters for the creation of electrical components. You will be responsible for conducting essential calculations during the Tender stage process, preparing technical documentation, and resolving any issues that arise during production. Your expertise will ensure that all designs meet international standards.

• Use optimisation techniques to minimise total evaluated price
• Conduct basic calculations required during Tender stage process
• Prepare Technical Documentation and BoM lists during Tender submission stages
• Resolve issues which may occur during production and testing process
• Update existing designs to optimise for minimum total evaluated price
• Standardise products and support supply chain in cost reduction projects

The ideal candidate for this Senior Design Engineer role will bring a wealth of experience in designing transformers, MV&LV switchgears, distribution cabinet products, and distribution network automation solutions. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related major
• 5-8 years of experience in designing transformers, MV&LV switchgears, distribution cabinet products, and distribution network automation solutions
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Eplan, Etap
• Ability to travel overseas on short notice if required
• Experience with APAC projects is desirable
• Chinese-speaking skills is plu
