Description:

What do you get if you cross an award winning, innovative, water company and over 300 dedicated team members? Our Strategic Capital Programmes team of course!
AMP8, our next five-year regulatory period, will see us launch our biggest and most complex investment programme of almost £13bn, of which £6bn will be delivered through our capital programme.
This is more than double the size of the AMP7 capital programme and is an opportunity to drive real change.
Today, our capital build projects typically take years to complete with each one designed completely from scratch and bespoke. Our solution to this is to standardise our design and delivery, which will significantly reduce the time and cost to deliver; the solution is centred around having a manufacturing led ‘product platform approach’, also referred to as ‘plug and play’. Work is already underway on two asset types (tanks and dosing rigs) with further assets planned. This is a game-changing plan which will enable us to design and deliver smarter, faster, safer, greener and more affordable projects.
Truly delivering for the future!
This new innovative approach will help to combat the challenges of waste and water infrastructure, flooding and water quality. Be a part of something bringing benefits to our communities, health outcomes and environment.
It could be the biggest challenge of your career. If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Directly accountable for a team of design professionals, you will develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and drive the identification and management of risks which could impact on the successful delivery of the programme.
The role requires the development of innovative plug and play product solutions to deliver the most efficient solutions to address investment needs.
The role holder will need to work with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful design of solutions (and validation of solutions designed by Severn Trent Team with external partners) ensuring adherence to Severn Trent engineering and design standards and external regulatory requirements including those specified by the HSE, the EA, the DWI and OFWAT
The programme of work will cover all the Capital Plug and Play Programme spanning across waste and water, both treatment and networks

You will be able to make educated judgments and decisions in the face of ambiguity, and have a good grasp of the bigger picture, seeking opportunities to contribute to the wider agenda.
The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity, and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.
