Senior Dev Ops Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Level Dev Ops Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will take on a pivotal role in overseeing the release process for our SaaS software applications. Leveraging your software development expertise, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless implementation, resolve complex technical challenges, and provide top-tier customer support.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Substantial experience (7+ years) in software configuration, deployment, or related technical roles, with a strong focus on software development.
• Proficiency in configuration management tools, version control systems, and software development methodologies.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Azure Pipelines, or GitLab CI/CD tools to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)for the provisioning and management of infrastructure through code, specifically Azure Resource Manager templates.
• Familiarity with containerization concepts and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is highly beneficial.
• Experience with version control systems like Git or Azure Repos to ensures proper code management, versioning, and collaboration within development teams.
• Demonstrated proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
• Skilled in monitoring and logging Azure Monitor ensure application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve any issues during the development and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
• Proven ability to work autonomously and within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational aptitude, with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent tasks effectively.Relevant certifications in software configuration management, software development, or related domains are advantageous.

• Oversee the release process working closely with development and operations teams ensuring deployments and having contingency plans for rollbacks if needed.
• Provision and manage infrastructure resources in the cloud using tools like Azure Resource Manager templates.
• Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement and maintain tools for uniformity across environments.
• Establish systems to monitor performance issues or errors in applications proactively.
• Implement security measures while adhering to industry norms and laws.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to the application, infrastructure, or deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams for effective communication and smooth workflow.
• Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, deployment processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Analyze and estimate resource requirements to ensure optimum performance and scalability of applications.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data protection and business continuity.Identify areas for improvement in the development and deployment processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
