SENIOR DEVELOPER, QUALITY ENGINEERING

The Salesforce Business Technology (Biz Tech) organization is looking for an enthusiastic senior developer to work with our application development teams that support our customer support organizations.
Job Description :
The Quality Engineer thoroughly evaluates the software products according to the business standards or function requirements through automated testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the product quality for the end-to-end system by managing the development cycle process.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of demonstrable experience in leading test strategy, test plan and test execution as QE/SDET lead
• 5+ years Experience with Selenium based automation and its eco-system (TestNG/Junit, Maven/Gradle, Cross-browser test etc.)
• Experience in testing mobile/web/desktop applications on common platforms
• Proficient in at least one of the common OO languages, including Python, Java, etc
• Proficient in SOAP/Rest API testing and automation - Postman or any other tool
• Experience with TDD and BDD
• Experience with JIRA/TestRail or any TCM tools
• Experience with Performance testing and automation

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (preferred), or equivalent work experience

• QE Approach: Pushing the product towards what is right
• Provide subject-matter expertise, standard processes, and strategic direction for quality assurance technology solutions
• Complete ownership for preparing test automation solution, designing automation frameworks and lead the implementation of test strategy, test plans & test execution of the product
• Lead teams in building/enhancing test automation solutions working closely with product roadmap and stories, developers, and the customer in an agile development practice
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QE practices and aim toward global standardization
• Assist with investigation and resolution of production issues, following a DevOps culture.
• Perform RCA with each release & based on lessons learned to implement test standard methodologies
• Create management-level reporting on the execution & defect metrics in each phase of the software development to monitor progress & quality.
• Write/maintain automated tests
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies, such as Test-Driven Development and/or Behavior-Driven Development
• Maintain an on-going awareness of emerging developments and trends related to the test subject area that could impact current projects and influence new projects
• Educate and mentor highly motivated engineering individuals to understand, measure, and provide feedback on current and new quality best practices
• Proficient with various software methodologies (Agile, Lean, SAFe etc.) for SaaS based architectures.
• Participate in full testing life cycle, including agile ceremonies, test case identification/development, development of test automation framework, functional testing, and user acceptance testing
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
