What you’ll be doing
The Senior Digital Marketing Manager will be a key member of the Christie’s marketing team. This individual will lead the business’ paid digital marketing efforts, globally - developing and managing performance-driven, digital media campaigns that drive customer acquisition, engagement and transactions to support our global auctions.
With a strong emphasis on strategy, implementation and overall execution, you’ll lead a small team of channel experts who will benefit from your high-calibre leadership skills and the energy you bring to work every day. You’ll figure out how to adapt our overall business strategy into an effective day-to-day digital marketing plan, unlocking ROI positive growth from existing (and new) paid channels and implementing scalable processes across functions to help Christie’s grow.
What your day might look like:
o Leading the performance marketing team to deliver against an ambitious growth plan. Ensure tight execution, acute attention to detail and consistent, high-quality delivery across all paid channels, globally.
o Designing and implementation performance marketing campaigns which complement the company’s broader commercial and marketing goals, drive demand generation and effectively promote the Christie’s brand to the right audiences.
o Partnering with a number of stakeholders within the business including the global marketing teams, Department Specialists, Product Development, Web Production, Design, CRM and Insights/Analytics
o Working closely with senior leaders within the Digital team to deliver on the overarching marketing strategy & goals. Ensure smart digital marketing planning, delivery and a clear focus on high impact, high ROI activities.
o Manage the digital media agencies and media partners to plan and execute effective digital marketing initiatives. Optimise channels, instil a growth mindset and work closely with third parties to ensure we work smart and execute the best possible targeting, bidding and lead generation tactics.
o Researching and analysing performance drivers to improve future campaign profitability/growth and contribute towards the delivery of KPIs, targets and overall commercial goals.
What you’ll bring to the team:
o Demonstrable experience leading paid digital media teams in scale ups or established web brands. A track record of growing users, creating smart audience development strategies and executing them successfully, preferably for a luxury retail or service business
o Proven expertise in key media disciplines/tools, with a deep understanding of best practices within SEM, display, programmatic, integrated marketing campaigns, paid social media marketing, mobile marketing, branded video content and online media research
o Has effectively managed multi-million-dollar digital media budgets, ensuring campaigns are completed within planned parameters and achieve objectives
o Considers him/herself a digital champion – with a high passion and curiosity for how digital affects the consumer decision journey
o Should be on the cutting edge of digital marketing technology. Adept at quickly learning a broad array of digital marketing technologies and applying that knowledge to real world business scenarios at Christie’s
o Possesses very strong analytical skills to effectively assess and distil the metrics and complexities of digital initiatives so that it is meaningful and actionable to multiple stakeholders
o Outstanding relationship and business builder with a proven track record of working seamlessly with cross-disciplinary groups within a global organization to deliver digital programs on time and within budget
o An expert user of online media tools such as Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager
o Possesses strong, data-driven communication and presentation skills
o Has excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
o Exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to handle multiple journeys, channels, projects and geos and ruthlessly prioritise the highest impact initiatives
o A rapid growth approach with a ‘move fast, test and learn’ mindset
o Excellent leadership skills around team development and hiring great talent
o Highly creative and displays a passion and sensitivity for fine art and luxury goods
o Language Requirements: English
