Responsibilities:

YOUR NEW ROLE – WHY IS THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY?

As Snr. Director of a new established unit in Corporate Procurement, you will drive and lead a team responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies for both direct and in-direct spend categories spanning across R&D, Manufacturing & Supply, Corporate Services and Commercial Services, with the charter of engaging on breakthrough transformational sourcing efforts. You will become a focal point for our business partners and support them in effectively implementing procurement initiatives for all Lundbeck employees globally, leading to increased cross-functional value generation.

Responsibilities:

  • Initially, your role will be to recruit experienced and effective team of 5 sourcing professionals to build a new capability within Lundbeck
  • Provide leadership and strategic vision for Lundbeck to optimize company value through selection of quality suppliers, fact-based negotiations, and performance-based contracting to protect the company’s interests in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Serve as member of Corporate Procurement Management Group, contributing to overall Corporate Procurement strategy and deployment, development of Operating Models, annual strategic planning and execution as well as performance management and departmental general management activities.
  • Effectively communicate to leadership at all levels of the organization regarding strategy, progress, and outcomes
  • Focus on value creation through professional and transparent spend management, effective governance, clear accountability, and a functional mandate where Corporate Procurement becomes an integrated part of strategic business decisions related to external spend.
  • Perform diligence and stakeholder management regarding current and upcoming Sourcing needs and compare to specific market conditions.
  • Impact continuous improvement of procurement systems and process roadmaps to optimize performance of Sourcing and procurement activities.
  • Coordinate internally with Procurement leadership on process, technology, organizational alignment, and strategic procurement imperatives.
  • Drive or support implementation of global sourcing and category strategies ensuring functions, countries, and business units understand and comply with the appropriate corporate policies and processes as they related to procurement transactions
