DHL Express Network Operations European Head office manage and monitor the performance of the various processes and procedures that allow a shipment to progress through the DHL network. European Customs Operations Team is seeking for a Senior Director Customs Operations Europe f/m/d based in Europe to be a part of our global network as a member of the Network Operations Management Team, could this be you?

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor all Customs processes of DHL Express Europe against business set standard, support EGAP convergence and provide all resources required to achieve the targets set; minimize the unit cost in alignment with AEO, GSOP and Customs regulations, enabling the fastest clearance release and the highest possible level of quality and compliance.
  • Ensure that all clearance activities are performed in full adherence to the EU and/or local legislation at the lowest possible unit cost of production, in line with the agreed Express Customs process standard.
  • Lead the standardization of the local clearance processes in line with the Union Customs Code and to the local legislation in the other European countries.
  • Monitor the achievement of the target set in the clearance area and support local CCPU management in the implementation of the necessary actions to achieve the goals set.
  • Support the development and deployment of the EGAP clearance suite of applications (inventory, cleansing, classification, clearance) all over the Region as per Global guidelines.
  • Enforce the alignment to AEO and GSOP Customs as well as to the Global Customs Strategy of DHL Express.
  • Align and Support the global BPO strategy for the different applicable processes in scope to allow convergence and standardization as well as an opportunity of service improvement and cost mitigation.
  • Support and lead an efficient Performance Management model in cooperation with Continuous Improvement EU Team and First Choice Programs.
  • Support country CCPU Managers in the management of daily customs operations and drive and define customs strategies in line with the organization directions.
  • Support regional approach on the Customs Services application, including development of new services and harmonization of the financial reporting ensuring direct revenue growth for the Group.
