We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Facility Operations - Americas to oversee the operations of multiple pharmaceutical development and manufacturing facilities within our organization and facilitate future facility development activities and projects. The Senior Director, Facility Operations - Americas will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our facilities to support our mission of developing and delivering innovative radiopharmaceuticals to patients. This position is also expected to build strong collaborative relationships with other key leaders in the organization, ensuring that Telix’s manufacturing facilities are positioned to optimize performance in terms of quality, service and consistency of radio-pharmaceutical development and production. The Senior Director, Facility Operations - Americas will develop and execute a regional strategy for Telix’s development and manufacturing facilities which includes demand planning, timely delivery of project goals, optimizing synergies between regional facilities and ensuring the delivery of high quality of customer experiences.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple pharmaceutical development and manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Manage the facilities budget, including forecasting, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility assets, equipment, and infrastructure, and develop maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Assure facility compliance with all applicable regulatory standards including cGMP, radiation safety, pharmacy laws, DOT, EHS, and internal policies and interpretations of the above
  • Drive productivity through implementation of new technology, products, and processes into daily operations.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of services and maintenance activities, including cleaning, security, maintenance, and utilities.
  • Evaluate business plans of new endeavors and new initiatives to improve the overall operation and performance of the facilities.
  • Implement short and long-term business strategies in support of facilities goals and objectives.
  • Develop leaders within the regional team to ensure continuous improvement and training of production personnel.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement regional strategic plans for facility operations to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all facilities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including FDA guidelines, NRC/Radiation Safety guidelines and environmental health and safety standards.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to address potential facility disruptions, including power outages, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
  • Technology Advancement: Onboard and drive innovation and productivity through implementation of new technology, products and processes into daily operations.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to facility operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of facility operations and implement strategies to address areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and supply chain, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of facility operations with organizational objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (radiopharmaceuticals preferred), with a proven track record of success in overseeing multiple facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, including FDA regulations, cGMP guidelines, NRC regulations and environmental health and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budget management, and vendor negotiations.
  • Proficiency in facility management software systems and tools for asset management, maintenance planning, and performance tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Professional certifications in facilities management, engineering, or related fields are a plus.
  • Travel up to 50%
