This role serves as a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Senior Director supporting the Sales organization with the McKesson Medical Surgical (MMS) Business Unit. The role provides leadership and development of financial analysts supporting customer segments within MMS. This leader will continually improve business processes and develop value-added insights to drive financial results. The role is responsible for establishing annual budgets, regular forecast updates, and monthly reporting to Senior Vice Presidents of Sales and their leadership teams. In addition, they will deliver ad-hoc analytics, projects, and strategic initiatives to advance the financial insights within the FP&A Sales team. They will report directly to the Vice President of Sales FP&A.
This is a hybrid role with some onsite meetings and collaboration required. Candidates must live in or near Richmond, VA. Relocation assistance may be provided for the ideal candidate.

  • Prior experience leading teams to deliver budgets, forecast, and financial insights to senior executives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and executive presence to deliver solutions to various leadership levels.
  • Strong internal and external customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to provide strategic recommendations and influence senior leaders to make difficult business decisions.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity & highly independent.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Strong time management and organization skills with flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
  • Experience collaborating with C-suite executives.
  • FP&A, financial reporting & consolidating experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams in a complex matrix environment to affect solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years ofdiversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting activities including development of executive reporting, trend and variance analysis, and risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver financial presentations, business reviews, commentary across multiple functions and levels of leadership.
  • Develop partnerships and collaborate with business owners to improve financial projections, processes, and results.
  • Drive the preparation of financial presentations and actionable insights to the Sales Sr. Vice Presidents and supporting organizations.
  • Create standard processes and lean process improvements within Sales FP&A.
  • Support ad-hoc analytics, projects, and strategic initiatives as needed.
