JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Overview: The Senior Director for ESG will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the company’s ESG strategy. This individual will lead our efforts to integrate environmental, social, and governance considerations into our investment processes, ensuring that our portfolio companies adhere to the highest standards of sustainability and ethical governance. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, including coding and AI experience, combined with a strategic vision for ESG and strong architectural skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or related fields, with a strong track record of leadership in a senior role.Proven experience in coding and developing AI-driven solutions.Extensive experience in architectural design and implementation of data systems.
• Skills: Deep understanding of ESG principles and frameworks.Proficiency in coding languages (e.g., Python, R) and experience with AI/ML technologies.
• Strong in ArchitectureStrong strategic thinking and visionary leadership skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• ESG Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive ESG strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and investment objectives.Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate ESG principles into all aspects of the investment process, from due diligence to portfolio management.
• Technical Leadership: Utilize coding and AI expertise to develop and implement advanced ESG analytics and reporting tools.Lead the development of ESG data architecture and infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making and reporting.
• Portfolio Management: Conduct ESG due diligence on potential investments, assessing environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance practices.Work closely with portfolio companies to improve their ESG performance, providing guidance and support in implementing best practices.
• Innovation and Vision: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in ESG, AI, and related fields, and identify opportunities for innovation.Drive the development of new ESG-related products and services that leverage AI and other advanced technologies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with investors, portfolio companies, and other stakeholders to communicate the company’s ESG strategy and progress.Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and forums to promote our ESG initiatives and thought leadership.
