Job Description
AECOM Buildings + Places, the company’s architectural business unit, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based out of the Halifax, Nova Scotia-area. This individual will work on Marine facilities and infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs and piers.
- Provides specialized technical input to Electrical studies and design of Marine facilities and infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs and piers
- Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, no less than:
- A University Degree in Electrical Engineering + six (6) years of relevant experience in the Electrical design of Marine facilities and infrastructure, such as jetties, wharfs and piers.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
- Engineering designation (P.Eng) required.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have experience in “Ship to Shore” electrical services such as power, communications, etc.
