Position Description
You will be responsible for the engineering, implementation, and validation of electric components and smart electronic products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and validate electrical components and systems for Modine products with minimal guidance.
- Design printed circuit boards (PCB), including component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and design for manufacturability and testability.
- Develop embedded firmware for electrical control and communication while conforming to automotive standards for code quality, testing, and functional safety.
- Maintain internal design and engineering specifications for electromechanical components.
- Guide design meetings and communicate with supervisor, section manager, program manager, other product engineers, and manufacturing engineers regarding product design and other issues.
- Help guide in all phases of a project, from concept to production
- Complete projects within allocated budget to meet Modine’s high quality and performance requirements.
- Create test plans and perform validation on components and systems to verify functionality, performance, reliability, and conformance to automotive industry standards.
- Diagnose and repair failures following the 8D process.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ year of experience in a related technical field is required.
- Strong knowledge of C programming is required.
- Must be results-oriented with excellent analytical, planning, organization, and execution skills.
- Can demonstrate high level of proficiency in circuit board design, systems analysis, and embedded programming.
