The Senior Electrical Engineer reports to the Engineering Leader and is responsible for the Product Engineering Operations. This position works under a moderate to low level of supervision. Independent technical decisions on work are covered by precedents; this position seeks direction/guidance on novel or controversial problems. In addition, this position may participate in project-specific relationship building with Customers, Suppliers, individuals, or organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates project phases
- Conducts complex research assignments
- Promotes process improvements company-wide
- Writes product design guidelines
- Performs conventional engineering practices with complex features
- Provides support to sales, manufacturing, purchasing, and development
- Troubleshoots and analyzes system problems independently
- Sets technical direction on complex projects
- Ensures designs meet criteria for manufacturability, testability, and reliability
- Designs, supports, and tests hardware boards and systems.
