POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial context with design and delivery responsibilities
• Accomplished designer in protection systems, LV switchboards, industrial electrical installations and HV and LV power systems.
• Chartered Engineer and RPEQ status
• Familiar with Australian codes, standards and practices related to the electrical sector
• Experience within a consultancy environment specifically in the electrical services sector
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills
• Proficiency in relevant electrical engineering design packages (eg PowerCAD, PTW, ETAP, PSCAD); AutoCAD expertise

• Lead technical discussions internally, with customers and with suppliers on behalf of the business
• Power system modelling at HV and LV, including load flow, system strength and fault studies, power quality analysis, protection coordination and dynamic disturbance analysis
• Completion of design tasks for HV/LV power systems, electrical switchboards and control panels, process instrumentation, process control systems and others as required
• Reviews and evaluates technical work, selects, schedules, and co-ordinates to attain program objectives
• Preparation of project specifications, design reports and other project documentation as required
