The Boeing Company (BCA), has an opening for an Senior EE (Electrical Engineering) Technical Designer in North Charleston, SC.
The Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Engineering Design Center has an exciting opportunity for a EE Technical Designer. The designer will be an integral member of the Engineering Design Center, providing engineering solutions to a wide-ranging list of programs, projects and components across the Enterprise. POSITION OVERVIEW:
Maintains releases and assists in developing electrical/mechanical drawings, system designs or engineering documentation and data, by applying Company, industry and governmental standards. Using design tools, prepares documentation and incorporates basic design changes. Creates, develops and maintains elementary system designs. Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities. Supports the development and maintenance of moderately-complex product installation designs and part designs. Supports coordination with internal partners and external suppliers. Works under general supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Engineering tools such as ENOVIA, CATIA, PDM is desired
- Ability to quickly adapt to program tools and procedures
- Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years’ related work experience, 8 years’ related work experience, etc.).
SUMMARY PAY RANGE:
- Senior (Level 4): $75,650 - $102,350
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews.
- Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., cable routing and geometry, WHIDs, IRMs).
- Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, and shop revision requests).
- Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
- Develops basic statements of work.
- Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.
- Works under general direction.
