REQUIREMENTS

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree (Mandatory);
  • Initiative and a general drive for success;
  • RPEQ accreditation (Mandatory);
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (Desirable, not mandatory);
  • 6+ years experience in project design and delivery;
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role;
  • Well-developed communication skills including the ability to interact with internal customers, external stakeholders, and clients;
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and promote cohesive teamwork;
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Personal flexibility to operate in a dynamic work environment;
  • Understanding of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and Regulations;
  • Legal unrestricted rights to work in Australia.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to business growth, we currently have an exciting position for an Electrical Project Engineer with a strong background in Buildings and Infrastructure Services design, working on projects spanning across our various business units with scales ranging from $100K to $30M.
We are Complex Electrical for a reason, and we can guarantee that no two days will ever be the same. This role provides scope delivery in a shared services model, working across our individual business units, so your ability to be adaptable and move between specialty areas will be key to your success!
CE Group has office spaces available in Loganholme, Gold Coast and Deception Bay – as preferred by you.
This role will provide support to the estimating and project teams in the creation and execution of the works and engineering requirements throughout all stages of project life cycles. This will include maintaining a high standard of quality control, working collaboratively with our clients and subcontractors, and providing updates to the project management and business leadership teams.

Duties may include:

  • Plan, design, document and manage electrical activities and processes for projects in accordance with the project schedule and budget
  • Assist with technical aspects of installation, testing and commissioning;
  • Assist in technical guidance and interface with clients engineering team
  • Support the project team to monitor the project program in respect to construction activities
  • Develop and foster effective and regular communication with the Project Team including suppliers and clients
  • Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with the Quality Assurance, Environmental Management, and Safety Management Plans and other relevant standards and legislation
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership in the workplace through leading by example, fostering Health and Safety awareness among electrical staff, managing risk and promoting continuous improvements in the area of electrical safety.
  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of all relevant electrical safety requirements, records, legislation, and policies and communicate these to employees.
