Job Description
Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented senior Electrical Test Engineer to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for defense, missiles, aviation, and space systems.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- The position requires an ABET accredited B.S. or equivalent degree in electrical engineering with 8+ years of test planning and execution experience or 6+ years with MS degree.
- Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
- Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
- Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with high power electrical systems integration, troubleshooting
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities:
- Using system requirements to generate test plans for development, qualification, and acceptance phases of hardware projects;
- Creating, modifying, and using electrical test instrumentation and data logging systems to satisfy testing requirements on high voltage and high temperature test environments;
- Conducting tests according to approved procedures;
- Performing test data analysis, requirements verification, and validation documentation and reports.
- The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- The position will require travel to Arnold AFB for 2 days a week until the completion of the program.
- The individual will interface with customers; department leadership; project managers; designers; analysts; quality, safety, and security personnel; and other test engineers within Dynetics.
