Description:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or similar, previous experience of design work package ownership and product delivery.
- At least ten-year’s experience of working in an electronics engineering role.
- Proficient in Analogue/Digital/Mixed-signal design and crucially experience of embedded controller electronic design using FPGA/Processor/Micro-Controllers etc.
- Proficient in circuit analysis and simulation.
- Good understanding of PCB layout and design for signal integrity and EMC.
- Experience of de-bugging embedded controller hardware.
- Experience of full life cycle from requirements to verification through to product delivery (DFM, DFT).
- Experience of Design Work Package Ownership, delivery to cost and schedule.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of designing for communication protocols, e.g. CAN, ARINC & AFDX,
- Designing precision analogue and digital electronics circuits, for example, LVDTs, Resolvers, Temperature and Pressure Sensors, Solenoids & other PWM circuits.
- Design for EMC compliance.
- Design verification, generation of test specification and technical reports (very good technical authoring skills).
Knowledge of programming languages i.e., VHDL, Python and C is not essential but advantageous.
- Knowledge of designing to D0-254/EUROCAE ED-80, and design for operation over extended temperature ranges, -55°C to 125°C.
- Enthusiastic team worker with an ability to work with other engineering disciplines.

We are currently seeking an Electronics Lead with extensive Embedded Electronics design experience to join our team within Collins Aerospace Electronic Controls and Motor Systems, Solihull.
