Our client is a leading American brand name in the field of consumer electronics, with more than 100 years in existence and more than 2,000 employees globally. We are representing the Singapore Research & Development (R&D) team to hire for their new headcount for the Electric Motor Development team.

REQUIREMENTS

• PhD / Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or Aerodynamics Engineering with minimum 6-10 years experience in a similar field.
• Expertise to work with different materials, eg plastic, metal, etc. Technical acumen to explore new materials is desirable.
• Design with CAD Modelling and Design Tools (Experience in Creo will be an added advantage).
• Ability to read, understand and generate engineering drawings using CAD tools is a must.
• Able to carry out Aerodynamic CFD simulation.
• Experience with CFD design and meshing of complex assemblies with Ansys Mechanical and Fluent.
• Working knowledge of mechanical test standards and test execution activities related to area of work.
• Working knowledge for mechanical tolerancing and stack analysis

• You will be part of a dedicated team of Engineers in Singapore working on the advanced development projects on turbomachinery.
• Perform structural design and fabrication of mechanical components and assemblies
• Perform design and fabrication of aerodynamic parts in turbomachinery, i.e. fans, rotors and impellers . Experience on single stage or multi-stage turbine design is an added advantage.
• Carry out Aerodynamic CFD Simulation using Ansys Mechanical and Ansys Fluent.
