Senior Engineer - Digital Assets Lead

Marketnode was founded by SGX Group and Temasek and is Asia-Pacific’s trusted and neutral DLT powered financial market infrastructure (FMI). Marketnode is looking to revolutionise the way traditional financial instruments are originated, traded, booked, and serviced using DLT with a focus on credit, funds and structured products.

At Marketnode, we operate two flagship platforms:

• Gateway is a one-stop, end-to-end platform encompassing data, workflow, tokenization and asset servicing
• Fundnode is a one-stop funds settlement infrastructure for transaction management, funds processing, and record-keeping

Having recently closed our Series A investment with major financial institutions, Marketnode is now well positioned for it’s next growth phase and is looking for a lead engineer to oversee our digital asset development pod, working closely with our technology, product management and external partners to build upon and deliver an enterprise grade multi-asset tokenization infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on development work (and lead a team of software engineers in building smart contracts to model capital market products and their workflows using Solidity deployed on mutliple chains; public and private
• Develop reusable components to expedite the deployment of new, innovative products
• Set technical standards and working practices for other developers, including code quality, security considerations and automated testing
• Work with other development teams to make the platform available via our UI and APIs
• Collaborate with the architecture and operations teams regarding network design and operation, including L2 and L3 support
• Accepts project delivery responsibilities and demonstrates accountability to leadership for committed plans

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years working as an senior engineer within the financial services sector, coding in relevant programming languages (Java, Python)
• Experience with leading a team of software engineers in developing large scale distributed applications
• 2+ years working as a senior engineer using DLT
• Knowledge of capital market products e.g. fixed income or wealth products e.g. funds, structured products

SKILLS

• Technical Development: Proficiency in various programming and scripting languages (e.g., Solidity, Java) in order to set technical direction and mentor team members.
• Technical Management: Management of a small (<10) team to delivery against the agreed plans, setting technical standards and
• System Security and Risk Frameworks: Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities, remediation techniques, and risk-related frameworks in order to put security and performance at the heart of every decision.
• Vendor Management: Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and service levels.
• Collaboration and Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, resolving conflicts and managing items between internal and external teams
• Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Collaborating with PMO, Finance and other departments with respect to project costing, planning and risk management
• Engagement : Ability to bring excitement and experience of the latest DLT & Web 3.0 trends and technology to the team and promote continued learning
