MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and development of induction motors.
  • 5+ years of experience with motor design principles, electromagnetic field analysis, and simulation tools.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in the design and development of induction motors and permanent magnet motors.
  • In-depth knowledge of motor design principles, electromagnetic field analysis, and simulation tools.
  • A track record of driving innovation in motor technology, with a preference for experience in researching and implementing emerging technologies.RSRWH

Responsibilities:

THIS ROLE IN SUMMARY

The Senior Engineer, Motors will lead the development of induction motors, overseeing the design, testing, and optimization processes to ensure the delivery of high-performance and efficient motor solutions. This role involves technical leadership, innovation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive advancements in motor technology.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Motor Design Focus:
  • Spearhead the design and development of induction motors, ensuring alignment with performance and efficiency goals.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise in motor technology, with a preference for knowledge in Permanent Magnet Brush and Brushless motor design.
  • Conduct thorough testing and analysis of motor prototypes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization, using knowledge of motor test equipment such as dynamometers and AC/DC power supplies.
  • Drive innovation in motor development, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Establish and maintain design standards and best practices for induction motors.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in induction motors, contributing to the continuous improvement of motor performance and reliability.
  • Research and Development:
  • Develop and apply new technologies to support sustained growth initiatives in alignment with InSinkErator’s business directives.
  • Coordinate external research and engineering activities, recommend technology vendors, and communicate the practical application of research findings.
  • Consult on technical issues across departments and divisions, liaising with other organizations on advanced technical matters.
  • Upgrade technical skills and knowledge through ongoing education.
  • Direct personnel or lead projects on an as-needed basis.
  • Utilize some knowledge of statistical data analysis for enhanced decision-making.
