Job Title: Senior Engineer / Project Manager
Location: Helensburgh, Scotland
General Description: We are seeking a dynamic individual with a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to fulfill the role of Senior Engineer / Project Manager. The successful candidate will oversee various aspects of construction projects, demonstrating leadership, analytical thinking, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Degree or HNC/HND qualified in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Proven experience in managing construction projects and contractors.
  • Sound understanding of safety legislation, commercial issues, and construction practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS card.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage allocated multidisciplinary projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project requirements, customer satisfaction, and Morgan Sindall standards.
  • Provide engineering expertise and support to the project team, ensuring that projects are executed according to drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor works in progress and supervise subcontractors as required, ensuring accurate setting out and providing necessary information for commercial review.
  • Implement and monitor all project systems and procedures, ensuring effective operation and communication among all parties involved.
  • Maintain awareness of health and safety requirements, proactively ensuring compliance and keeping abreast of project status.
  • Offer technical advice and support, identifying and addressing training and development needs for self and others.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers, promoting a positive image of Morgan Sindall and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Provide key information for the commercial team, including re-measures and claims, and monitor labor and subcontractor activity.
